Alphacon CEO Otabek Kurbanov: A One-Stop Digital Service Model for Uzbekistan’s SMEs
Otabek Kurbanov, Founder and CEO of Alphacon, spoke to FT Finansal Teknoloji about the digital and financial service needs of SMEs in Uzbekistan, collaboration between banks and fintech companies, and Alphacon’s integrated platform model.
In an interview conducted by FT Finansal Teknoloji during the Silk Road Forum 2026, Otabek Kurbanov, Founder and CEO of Alphacon, discussed Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing fintech ecosystem and the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises.
Drawing on his experience at Click, UZCARD and Uzum, Kurbanov highlighted the importance of mobile-first financial services, reliable infrastructure and the courage required to build new digital habits at scale.
A single entry point for SMEs
Kurbanov explained that Alphacon brings banks, payment companies, public services and business solutions together on a single platform.
Through this model, SMEs can access the services they need through one documentation process, instead of dealing separately with multiple providers and sales teams.
According to Kurbanov, Alphacon currently works with more than 180 partners. The platform is designed not only to simplify access for SMEs, but also to create a new distribution channel for banks, fintech companies and business service providers.
A paperless business experience by 2030
At the end of the interview, Kurbanov described what the digital business experience of an SME in Uzbekistan should look like by 2030:
“It should be paperless, available just in time and, above all, profitable for the SME itself.”
